Independence School District Receives Grant for Recreational Trail

Independence School District recently gleaned a $5,000 grant from the Buchanan County Community Foundation.

The grant will be used to pave a recreational trail called "American Trotter Trail" that harks back to its history when it was known as a horse-racing center. The recreational public trail aims to make it more accessible to campus visitors and community residents.
